Creativity comes in all forms; from a doodle on a coaster to a watercolour painting, a poem about your pet, an inspirational quote you heard, taking a photo of something that catches your eye. Creativity is all around us; for example, in the clothes we wear, to the items we choose to have in our house. We use our creativity in a variety of activities such as gardening, cooking, nature walks and singing.
Neuro Creatives is a safe space where you can try a creative activity and contribute to a forum that shares ideas and inspirations. It is facilitated by our Arts Counsellor Kate Hasted with support from our Neuro Creatives volunteers Sarah and Alyson.
For our Summer Creative Group, we’re opening up more spaces to welcome even more new participants! While we usually keep our group small to help members connect and build a supportive space, we are making room this season for even more creative energy and connection!
Previous sessions include Drawing the Breath, Colour Inspired, Mini Books, Portraits, Blackout Poetry, Curiosity Cabinets, Junk Art and many more! You do not need to have any artistic experience and we aim to make sessions accessible to all and using low cost materials that you have around you. All we ask is that you come with an open mind and a willingness to have a go!
Dates: Fridays, 7 sessions from Friday 6th June– Friday 18th July 2025, 10.30am-12pm. Sessions are online, via Zoom.
Registrations for this group are now closed. If you would like any information about a waiting list or future sessions, please email Kate at [email protected].

“We aim to provide a variety of accessible activities, for example; drawing, creative writing, collage, crafting that can be achieved remotely and mostly with resources sourced from your home environment. Activities may involve a mixture of working independently, working in pairs or small groups. All sessions will incorporate some time for sharing with each other and reflecting on the work achieved. I look forward to welcoming you on board!”
