Neuro Creatives is a support group for anyone living with a neurological condition who is interested in being creative in their daily lives.
Creativity comes in all forms; from a doodle on a coaster to a watercolour painting, a poem about your pet, an inspirational quote you heard, taking a photo of somethingĀ that catches your eye. Creativity is all around us; for example, in the clothes we wear to the items we choose to have in our house, we use it in a variety of activities such as gardening and cooking, nature walks and singing. Neuro Creatives aims to help you to tap into your creative self with support from others.
The group is a safe space where you can try a creative activity and contribute to a forum that shares ideas and inspirations. You do not have to be an artist to join, the sessions are kept simple and fun. All we ask is that you come with an open mind and a willingness to have a go!
Dates: Every Friday morning, starting Friday 22 April - Friday 27 May 2022
Time: 10:30am - 12:00pmĀ
Sessions will be online, via Zoom
This programme is run by Creative Projects and Peer Support Co-ordinator, Kate:
"We aim to provide a variety of accessible activities, for example; drawing, creative writing, collage, crafting that can be achieved remotely and mostly with resources sourced from your home environment. Activities may involve a mixture of working independently, working in pairs or small groups. All sessions will incorporate some time for sharing with each other and reflecting on the work achieved. I look forward to welcoming you on board!"
