#TeamBrainandSpine help us raise over £600k!

In 2019, #TeamBrainandSpine ran, walked, baked, biked, climbed and tried a downward-facing dog to help us raise over £617,000 to support our services and the important work we do. Thank you!

Thank you to all of our supporters.

We can only be there for people with neurological problems with your help.

We are proud of all of our supporters, and the amazing lengths they have gone to raising funds and awareness for the Brain and Spine Foundation.

So far this year we have raised over £617,000. This has supported our services and enabled us to answer calls through our free, confidential Helpline and to send our booklets, free of charge, to people, hospitals and healthcare professionals all around the UK.

Thank you to everyone that attended our Gala Dinner, and raised funds via our auction, be it bidding for classic yacht sailing, yoga retreats or a one to one boxing session!

Our London Marathon team collectively ran over 1,000 miles on the day. One of our most loyal supporters completed his 500th marathon, an astonishing 13,100 miles for us, and that doesn’t include the training. Thank you so very much David Phillips. As well as runners, walkers and people doing yoga for us, others got on their bikes for us, completing Ride London, and our team of coastal cyclists which includes Marc, our Chief Executive. Other events that involved team work of a different kind include our bridge players and concert singers. People have climbed mountains, literally. Thank you so much.

Thank you to our Community Ambassadors for all you have done for us this year. An array of talents include marmalade making, giving inspiring talks, running 10K’s, writing books, and for being a voice for people with neurological conditions amongst communities and in clinical feedback groups.

Thank you also to our wonderful volunteers, Davina, Tash and Will, whose efforts and skills have been invaluable in supporting the team and the work we do.

A special thank you to John Kedge who is retiring from his role as Community Ambassador after organising with his family, the UK’s only two-day triathlon for the last 21 years.

#TeamBrainandSpine made us proud!
