This April, the Brain & Spine Foundation staged its first Neurovascular Study Day in partnership with the Royal Society of Medicine. The event aimed to develop healthcare professional’s knowledge of neurological problems and discuss the latest treatments and best practises in neurovascular care.
15 experts from various fields of neurology gave speeches on topics such as injury assessment, surgery and psychology, and two patient speakers gave firsthand accounts of their experience living with neurovascular problems. The event was attended by medical students, professors, registrars, neurosurgeons, neurophysiologists, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists – the list goes on!
