Adjusting to a diagnosis of encephalitis in adults: research call out

The Brain & Spine Foundation was recently contacted by Jeri Tikare, a trainee clinical psychologist studying at Lancaster University. Jeri is conducting research as part of his doctoral programme in clinical psychology and is looking for adults diagnosed with encephalitis to take part in his study. 

The title of the research is An exploration into the experience of adjusting to a diagnosis of encephalitis in adults of working age: a qualitative investigation. The proposed study will attempt to interview between 6-12 participants who have had a diagnosis of encephalitis confirmed by a neurologist. 

The research is approved by the faculty of health and medicine research and development ethics board of Lancaster University.
