The My Brain and Me app works as a mood diary and information resource for young people aged 13 and over recovering from a brain injury.
When and what data is collected
My Brain and Me collects personal information from you in the following ways:
- Signing up for an account – When you sign-up for the app, you provide an email address and password.
- Mood diary entries – When you add a diary entry in the Mood section, it is associated to your account anonymously.
- Contacts – When you add a contact entry in the Friends section, it is associated to your account anonymously.
What we do with the data
Your email address and password are used as anonymous identifiers which enable you to have access to your account. We do not have access to your passwords.
All the personal data, such as your diary entries and contacts, that you save in the app is stored on a secure third party server. The use of a third-party server means no internal storage of your mobile app is used and you can have access to your data by entering your account on any mobile device with the app My Brain and Me.
We take the confidentiality of your personal data very seriously. We do not share your data with governments, data resellers, social networks, ad networks or other applications.
The application has access to the network state of your phone, i.e. whether the phone is connected to the internet and whether it is by wifi or 3G/4G. This is vital for the application to function and connect to the servers.
