Jump Start your January

• Not a fan of those early morning event starts? 
• Just don’t enjoy running with hundreds of other people? 
• Still looking for a way to fundraise for us? 

Then maybe a virtual event could be just what you have been waiting for! With the inevitable excesses of the festive season rapidly approaching, why not plan to #jumpstartyourjanuary?

Sign up to take on your own virtual event, raise funds to help us continue supporting the 1 in 6 people in the UK with  a neurological condition and get yourself back in shape for the new year! 

How it works:

  • You choose the distance

Whether you want to run, swim, walk or ride you make the rules. Here’s how:

  1. Choose your challenge, fill in the form below and us to let us know your plans.
  2. We'll be in touch shortly after this with information about setting up a fundraising page on Every Day Hero.  
  3. Share your plans on social media, and commit to doing it. 
  4. Get out there at your chosen time and place, smash the challenge you’ve set yourself and record your effort on Strava, FitBit or another fitness tracking app.
  5. Share your accomplishment with the world and call on them to donate for your hard work! 
  6. Enjoy the warm feeling of helping another human being, whilst waiting for your #jumpstartjanuary certificate to drop through the letterbox. 

Virtual events really are open to anyone with a smart phone and the motivation to get out there and make it happen. In January you might commit to run one mile each day, 5km each weekend, run a 10K after work or even crank out a full marathon in one go or in bite size chunks. 

If you're more interested in a two wheel challenge, why not commit to cycling to work every day in January or you could aim to cycle 100 miles throughout the whole month of January! 

The beauty is that you decide when and how, but whatever you do make sure to #jumpstartyourjanuary
