Thank you for choosing to fundraise for the Brain & Spine Foundation.

Our fundraising ideas are a great place to start. Whether you hold your own event or get sponsored to do something out of your comfort zone, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved.

Hold an auction

If you have antiques or collectables that you would like to clear out, or if you have some valuable skills that could be auctioned off for fun, an auction is a great way of raising money, bringing people together and having fun.

Organise a bingo night

Create your own bingo sheet and invite your friends, family or neighbours round for an evening of fun. Consider theming your bingo night with something unique – perhaps music, film or celebrity faces! Ask each player to make a small donation to take part.

Have a fancy dress day

Whether you take part at school or work, a fancy dress themed day is a great way to raise funds and get students or colleagues involved in fundraising. Set up a competition based on your fancy dress theme and ask each person to donate £2 to take part.

Give something up

Get sponsored to give up something of your choice – this could be coffee, sweets or your favourite phone app! You can set up a JustGiving page to collect donations online and share your fundraising with your friends and family.

Organise a raffle

You can raise more money at an event that you organise by holding a raffle. You can ask local businesses to donate prizes as a way to support your event too! If you decide to organise a raffle, make sure you follow the Gambling Commission regulations and let us know as we can also send you a letter of authenticity if you reach out to local businesses.

Host a quiz night

A quiz night is a great way to bring members of your local community together. You could collaborate with a local pub, or set up your own quiz night at home or in a venue that suits you. Ask each participant to donate £2 to take part, and boost your fundraising by holding a raffle too!

Organise a sweepstake

A sweepstake can be held for lots of different things, and work well in an office environment! Whether you ‘Guess the weight’ of a colleague’s newborn baby or ‘Guess how many sweets are in the jar’, a sweepstake is a fun and healthy competition!

Take part in a sporting event

We have places available in events across the UK throughout the year. Find out what’s happening in our event calendar and take on a new challenge to raise funds.
