Lower back MRI, can someone translate this?
« on: August 22, 2017, 09:19:23 pm »
Ive been having extreme lower back pain for a while now. finally had a MRI. My dr said my results were fine. But I just got a copy of my MRI, and it doesnt seem normal to me.

It reads:

L2-L3 Early annular disc bulging contributing to ver mild caudal right sided neuroforaminal narrowing.

L3-L4 mild bilateral face arthropathy, broad annular disc bulge.
L4-L5 broad annular disc bulge, prominent posterior central annular fissuring.

Degenerative disc disease manifesting as desiccation localized in L4-L5

Hi jenm1ller,

Thanks for using our forum. We're sorry to hear about your lower back pain.

Why don't you give our Helpline nurses a call to discuss your situation?
Helpline's contact details and opening hours: http://www.brainandspine.org.uk/helpline-contact-details

Please note however that our nurses are not able to diagnose over the phone. http://www.brainandspine.org.uk/how-we-can-help
