Where to find more information and support

We have gathered links to other charities and organisations to help you find the right information for you.

For people affected by a neurological problem, we know it is important to have access to the right information at the right time.

With so many sudden changes to our working lives and our home lives, you may also have questions or concerns about a number of issues other than your health.

Getting support as an extremely vulnerable person

If you have been identified as “extremely vulnerable” you can register via the Government website to get additional support. Visit this page to register: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable

If you’re not sure whether a medical condition makes you extremely vulnerable, you are advised to register anyway and they will respond to let you know if you are eligible. This service is free. You can register yourself, or for someone else.

Hidden Disability lanyard

If you have a disability that may not be immediately obvious but would appreciate support from staff when you’re doing your shopping, you may be interested to know there is a lanyard which can signal this. The sunflower lanyard is currently recognised in Tesco, Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury’s. Find out more about the lanyard and how you can get one by visiting their website: https://hiddendisabilitiesstore.com/
