07 May 2009

Charlie and Frances Blois on arrival in London on day 9 Long distance runner and Brain and Spine fundraiser Charlie Pearson describes in his final blog how he successfully completed his mammoth journey and made it to the London Marathon finish line.

The culmination of a 10 day, 206 mile run from Altrincham to London, Charlie's blog reveals the stresses and strains of the challenge, and the triumph of completing his goal.

Before he set off, Charlie said: "In 1995 my daughter and I were involved in a car accident. I was in hospital with a fractured skull for two weeks and my daughter was in a coma for two months. It was a difficult time but we both fought our way back to health and a normal life.

"The Brain and Spine Foundation has done so much for me and my family so this is my way of saying thank you."
