Team captain Mark Ramprakash in training with London Marathon team
07 April 2008
Team captain Mark Ramprakash joins the Brain and Spine/Daily Telegraph Marathon team for training session at the Oval.
With less than a fortnight to go before the Flora London Marathon, many of this year’s team braved the cold for a special training run around the Oval with team captain and cricketer Mark Ramprakash.
Team member Lili Temple-Smith, who is running the marathon for the first time in honour of a friend who was wheelchair bound by a stroke, said, ‘It was lovely to see the team again before the big day-the nerves are building now!’
Mark, who is currently in training for the new season commended the team’s hard work and dedication in their training as well as their fundraising achievements. Sponsorship donations are expected to exceed £100, 000. This is the 10th year of our partnership with the Daily Telegraph and we hope to pass the £1million mark in 2008.
