Stroke survivor uses art as therapy
26 January 2012
Stroke survivor Dave Cope has rediscovered a talent for art, using painting as his therapy after a 15 year break from his hobby.
A talented artist who is passionate about rallying, Dave took two and a half months to paint a watercolour of rally driver Andy Burton's Peugeot Cosworth car.
"I decided to use art, together with my passion for rallying, as my therapy," says Dave, whose life-changing stroke occurred in August 2011.
Now undergoing a programme of rehabilitation, Dave is optimistic about the future and says he won't let the stroke beat him. He is selling limited edition prints of his painting to support the Brain and Spine Foundation - see below for more information.
