Driving and disability: Motability events near you

Several UK-wide events held by Motability, the scheme that enables disabled people to lease a car, powered wheelchair or scooter, will be held this summer.

"One Big Day" events will be held on:

  • 29th July at Yorkshire Air Museum
  • 7th August in Oxfordshire
  • 12th August at Brands Hatch Circuit, Kent
  • 27th August at Manchester United Football Stadium

One Big Day events help people to find out about how to lease a car through Motability, with Motability specialists on hand to answer questions.

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to lease a car, powered wheelchair or scooter by using their government-funded mobility allowances. Customers exchange their allowance for a mobility package.

The Scheme is open to anyone who receives the Higher Rate Mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement and has at least 12 months' award length remaining when they apply.
