Congratulations to our fabulous London Marathon Team 08! Sign up for 2009 now!
A big thank you to all our runners who braved the hail and rain to complete this year’s London Marathon. As a result of your hard work, we have passed our target of £1million-congratulations to you all!
Special thanks also go out to team captains Mark Ramprakash and Zara Phillips, The Arsenal Emirates Stadium, The Thistle Trafalgar Hotel, The Antigallican Pub, our sponsor Lyndales Solicitors, volunteers and staff who all helped to make this special day memorable.
Runners enjoyed an impressive support package in the lead up to the event including:
- Coverage in the Daily Telegraph
- Team training runs including one with team captain Mark Ramprakash around the Oval cricket ground
- A welcome evening at the Arsenal Emirates stadium with expert training advice from Arsenal and England physio Gary Lewin
- The chance to meet team captain and esteemed sportswoman Zara Phillips
Training and fundraising advice - Your very own Brain and Spine Foundation running vest
- Excellent on-the-day support including 2 dedicated cheering spots along the route and a post race party close to the finish with massage, hot food and showers
Why not sign up for this year’s event? We are encouraging everybody to apply for the public ballot. To enter visit the Flora London Marathon website. You will benefit from the above support package but of course, will not be tied to a minimum sponsorship target.
Should you be unsuccessful in the ballot, we have lots of guaranteed places. All that we ask is that you commit to raise as much as you can. As a guide, most runners raise upwards of £1500.
