BSF fundraisers get on their bikes

25 July 2009

In the next few months, fundraisers will be pedalling over 5,000 miles for the Brain and Spine Foundation in two spectacular cycling endeavours.

Lands End to John O'Groats

Starting today, medical students Tessa Coulson and Charlotte Wilson will be cycling 1,000 miles each from one end of the country to the other, in a 14 day trip from Lands End to John O'Groats.

Race to New York

A cycling event with a difference! This autumn, 31 year old Stuart Lee will compete in the New York Marathon, an event which he said he would run 20 years ago whilst learning to walk again during a seven week stint in hospital that nearly cost him his life.

Before the Marathon, Stuart has organised the Race to New York at his local gym. Race to New York aims to cover the 3,470 mile distance from Coventry to New York in just 12 hours, using 25 studio spin bikes to cycle the combined distance.
