A close shave: Sarah Holt uses her head to raise funds for the Brain and Spine Foundation
06 April 2010
Last year, Sarah Holt was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Luckily, she had surgery which turned out to be a success, but the experience left her wanting to make the most of life.
"My family, friends and I are all now firm believers in 'what a difference a day makes' and so we grab every day with both hands," says Sarah.
On Tuesday 9th March, Sarah used her head to raise awareness and funds for the Brain and Spine Foundation by getting her head shaved, in public, at the Tesco store in Catterick Garrison.
"I'm one of the lucky ones and I'm on the long road to recovery," says Sarah.

Going, going...

... Gone!
