Do host diseases alter pathophysiological mechanisms of brain oedema and stroke?

Hypertension and diabetes are accepted risk factors for stroke and intracerebral haemorrhage. This project evaluated how diseases such as these influence the course of a blood clot in the brain and showed that there may be opportunities to reduce the risk in people with these conditions.
