There are many ways of accessing Brain and Spine booklets; you can view all or part of the booklets online, download them free of charge, or order hard copies online or by calling the Brain and Spine Helpline on 0808 808 1000. You will find a lot more information on neurological conditions within the Helpline section, in which you will also find a discussion forum to share your experiences with others.
The Foundation aims to make available a comprehensive set of booklets and leaflets for people affected by brain and spine conditions. In addition to the 30 titles currently in print, suggestions for new titles made by callers to the Brain and Spine Helpline, and by health professionals and neuroscience specialists are regularly considered by the Education Committee.

The booklets have been written by health professionals who specialise in the particular topic covered by the booklet. The medical information in the booklets is evidence-based and draws on the current best practice guidelines and standards of care. Each booklet is reviewed by patients and carers as well as other medical experts.

Full colour illustrations for each booklet have been provided by medical illustrator Philip Wilson; photographs and diagrams have been specially commissioned for each booklet and these have also been tested for their relevance, accuracy and accessibility.

Each booklet contains a detailed glossary of medical and technical terms and a list of other organisations that may be able to help.

Please note that the details of the organisations listed in the back of the booklets were correct at the time of publication, however, some information may have changed. We make every effort to ensure these details are correct when titles are revised.
