CT Scan
A guide for patients and carers
Preparation for a CT scan
For a scan of the head or neck you will need to remove glasses, jewellery, hair slides, dental braces and dentures with metal plates. If you are having any other part of the body scanned you will need to remove metal objects from that area. This may involve changing into a gown.
