This booklet is intended to provide general information on coiling of brain aneurysms. It has been written to help answer some of the questions asked by people who have had an aneurysm, as well as for their families and carers.

However, because the condition affects each person differently, it is important that you speak to your own GP or to the doctor or nurse who is looking after you since they are in a position to offer advice and information to meet your own specific needs. Having an aneurysm may raise many complicated issues which you should discuss with your healthcare specialists.They are there to help you, so do not be afraid to ask the same question more than once.

This leaflet has been written by members of the Brain and Spine Helpline team in response to the large number of enquiries we receive from people requesting information on coiling of brain aneurysms.
