Surveys of patients and carers affected by a range of serious conditions have consistently shown a wide gap between the desire for accessible information at the point of diagnosis and the easy availability of appropriate materials.
The Brain and Spine Information Programme aims to:
- provide up-to-date, impartial information about neurological conditions;
- give patients and carers more control;
- help dispel uncertainty and assist informed decision making;
- increase patient choice; and
- improve communication between patients and health professionals.
