Learning outcomes
By completing this course on Practical strategies to communicate with older people with neurological conditions, you will be able to:
- Understand the range of communication problems that can result from different neurological conditions
- Increase your knowledge of a range of practical and effective verbal and non-verbal strategies to support the communication with older people with different neurological conditions
- Be confident in applying a range of practical verbal / non-verbal communication strategies to support communicating with older people with neuro conditions
- Adapt your communication to ensure a person-centred approach in interacting with all older people with a neurological condition, including those from different ethnic backgrounds
