Managing patients with dizziness: forthcoming seminar for professionals

A seminar for professionals on Vestibular rehabilitation will be held at Royal Surrey County Hospital on 11 July 2011. This seminar will provide practical guidance and strategies for managing patients with dizziness.

The seminar aims to show you how to:

  • set up individualised rehabilitation plans

  • decide on the suitability of talking therapy/counselling and what it entails

  • provide suitable manoeuvres for relief of BPPV

  • deal with patients with visual vertigo and anxiety

  • explain to patients the causes of motion triggered disorientation and what may help them

  • conduct and interpret vestibular evoked myogenic potentials in patients with dizziness

  • use virtual reality systems in vestibular rehabilitation
