Payroll Giving

Set up a Payroll Giving Scheme
Give as you Earn Logo
Payroll Giving (also known as Give as You Earn) is one of the most effective ways to enable people to support their favourite charity. It's simple to join and it's tax-free.

When you give to the Brain and Spine Foundation through your payroll, your donation is taken before tax is deducted.

For instance:
• If you pledge £5
• You actually only pay £3.90
• The taxman will add £1.10

This means that £3.90 per month from your pay packet ends up as a donation worth £5.00 to the Brain and Spine Foundation, at no extra cost to you.

A donation of:
• £50 would cover the cost of running our helpline for an hour
• £10 would allow us to send an information pack to one of our helpline callers

Some employers offer 'matched giving' schemes where they match you or double your gift at no extra cost to you.

What do I do next?

1 - Check with your payroll department that your company is registered with a Payroll Giving agency
2 - Complete a Payroll Giving form (19 kb) [pdf] and send it back to the address on the form.
3 - If you ever want to stop giving or change the amount you give, just contact your payroll department at work and they will amend your details and pass the information on to us.

Should your company not be registered with a payroll giving agency it will cost them nothing to start one.  Contact the Charities Aid Foundation on 01732 520019 or email giveasyouearn@caf.charitynet.org.
