Team Sparkle: Running in memory of Shazzie
Sharon Waller (Guy) died suddenly in May 2009, age 34, leaving behind her 3 young sons, a loving family and countless friends. Sharon was a devoted Mummy, a beautiful, vibrant young lady, who was known for her 1000 watt smile and her sparkling personality.

"Sharon died on 19th May 2009 - on my birthday", says Sharon's mum, Carole.
"She had a subarachnoid haemorrhage and never regained consciousness. Sharon was a vibrant, healthy, busy, active beautiful person - hardly a day's illness in her life. The subarachnoid haemorrhage struck without warning and within 20 - 40 minutes she was unconscious. and within hours, brain stem cell death tests were done and she was gone."
In memory of Sharon, the Shazzie Sparkle Trust was set up to raise funds for various charities including the Brain and Spine Foundation.
The Trust are fundraising for the Brain and Spine Foundation through Team Sparkle, a group of family and friends who ran the Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday 21st March 2010.
"Since her loss we have raised lots of money," says Carole. "There were hundreds of people at her funeral and £1500 in donations was collected. Various other events have raised lots of money and then the Trust was formed in Sharon's memory."
It is Team Sparkle's aim to raise as much money as possible for the Brain and Spine Foundation in order to say thank you to those that support and care for all those loved and lost.
"We hope that others will be inspired by our fundraising and that the money will help with the research and rehabilitation of survivors," says Carole.
