A big thankyou to the 57 runners that took part in the 2008 Great North Run. So far funds have exceeded £18000! Congratulations!
Great North Run 2009
Take part in Britain's biggest running event with 47,000 entrants. A distance of 13.1 miles/21 kilometres through the famous route from Newcastle to the coast at South Shields.
There are two ways of joining the Brain and Spine Foundation Great North Run team:
If you were lucky enough to get a place in the general ballot, let us know and we will send you a Welcome Pack and you will be part of the team! There is obviously no minimum sponsorship required if you have your own place; any money you raise for the Foundation will be helping to make a real difference to the lives of people with neurological conditions.
You can also apply for one of our guaranteed entries. These places are limited and fill up very quickly so get your application in ASAP by e-mailing Sarah.
If we offer you one of these places you will need to pay a registration fee of £30 (to cover the cost of your place) and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship donation of £350. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis on receipt of a completed information form.
