Take part in Britain's biggest running event with 47,000 entrants. A distance of 13.1 miles/21 kilometres through the famous route from Newcastle to the coast at South Shields.
There are two ways of gaining a place in the Great North Run:
The Great North Run ballot is now open until 10th Feb 08. To apply, please visit the Great North Run website.
Let us know if you are successful in getting your own place and we will send you a Welcome Pack and you will be part of the team! There is obviously no minimum sponsorship required if you have your own place; any money you raise for the Foundation will be helping to make a real difference to the lives of people with neurological conditions.
You can also apply for one of our guaranteed entries. These places are limited and in demand. If we offer you one of these places you will need to pay a registration fee of £30 (to cover the cost of your place) and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship donation of £350. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis on receipt of a completed information form.
Minimum age for entry is 17.
