Brighton Marathon

10 April 2011
Location: Brighton
Brighton Pier

After a tremendously successful inaugural year, the Brighton marathon promises to be even bigger and better in 2011!

The race route takes in the best of the city centre and fabulous stretches of coastal road, including glorious panoramic views across the South Downs and the English Channel. It is a fast course, held exclusively on roads and tarmac promenade on an entirely traffic free route. The Finish is in Madeira Drive, just east of the famous Brighton Pier. The last mile in particular will be along the seafront road alongside thousands of cheering spectators.

One of our Brighton 2010 runners gave this feedback:

Absolutely fantastic course, marshals were great and the crowd was incredible. Plenty of water stops and sweet/energy block stops. And everything was really well organised at finish as well. Overall excellent work by organisers!

How do I get involved?

Due to the popularity of the 2010 event, the Brighton Marathon marathon public places for 2011 sold out in a matter of days! We do, however, have guaranteed charity entries. All that we ask is that you pay a £25 registration fee and commit to raising £500 in sponsorship. In return you will receive:

  • dedicated fundraising support
  • a welcome pack with lots of handy fundraising and training tips
  • a Brain and Spine Foundation vest

Alternatively, if you were lucky enough to get your own place, please do get in touch and you will receive exactly the same level of support, without of course needing to commit to raising sponsorship. Any funds that you do raise will go towards our supporter services for people affected by a neurological condition, both patients and carers.
