A few words from the Clacton Triathlon co-ordinators:

Our colleague Mark Bosenaquet- Bryant, our webmaster and graphics designer, is quadriplegic ever since an accident 27 years ago. It is for him and our friends and associates in Clacton-on-Sea who have endured brain haemorrhage, strokes and spine cancer, some fatal, that we are inspired to raise money for the Brain & Spine Foundation through the annual Clacton Triathlon Weekend.

Clacton Triathlon Weekend was born in 1999 with just 28 triathletes competing; it took a three year learning curve to produce top class races from around the country, and to send substantial proceeds to the Brain and Spine Foundation.

To our knowledge we are the only triathlon event, and there are a vast number around the country, who is committed to donating the profit each year to charity.
