This committee, chaired by Consultant Neurologist Dr Peter Newman, acts as a bridge between the Association of British Neurologists and the Royal College of Physicians and as a forum for discussion of issues of common interest and concern.

As part of the ABN and the College’s commitment to patient involvement in their work, Maggie Alexander, Chief Executive of the Brain and Spine Foundation and member of the Neurological Alliance Executive Committee was invited to join the Joint Specialty Committee on Neurology in 2003. Maggie is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians Patient and Carer Network.
