Ensuring the quality of information and services is paramount to our work here at the Foundation. To achieve the highest standards, we collaborate with a number of external agencies committed to assessing standards of quality.

CHIQ Triangle mark appraisal
They include the Centre for Health Information Quality (CHIQ) for our printed booklets and printed material, the NHS Direct Information Partners Programme for the website, and the National Service Framework for long term conditions which is aimed at developing specific standards across the spectrum of neurological conditions.
In March 2003, the Foundation's booklets programme was awarded the CHIQ Triangle mark. The appraisal report noted: 'These booklets will be a first class information resource for patients and carers'.
Unfortunately CHIQ are no longer able to run their appraisal process so the Foundation is looking to work with the NHS on their health information accreditation scheme.
The Brain and Spine Foundation has been chosen by the Department of Health to take part in a new scheme to make sure that good quality information is available across the health and social care sector - read more about our participation in the Department of Health scheme
Our ultimate goal is to offer an ever expanding range of professionally accredited sources of information and services that help the Foundation reach out to people affected by disorders of the brain and spine, as well as carers and professionals.
