Working Collaboratively
The Brain and Spine Foundation’s ability to provide a generic, non disease specific perspective on the impact of neurological conditions, has proved increasingly beneficial in providing opportunities to participate in initiatives which have the potential to lead to improvement in the quality of life of patients and carers.
The Brain and Spine Foundation work with several other charities and organisations committed to producing and disseminating the highest quality standard health information. The criteria for considering new areas of work for the Brain and Spine Foundation:
-
Does the work have the potential to meet the main objectives of the Foundation, i.e. to "improve the quality of life for people affected by neurological conditions"?
- Does it fill an identified need?
- Is the work innovative and genuinely able to offer a new and worthwhile activity, service or product?
- Is it work that the Foundation has the capacity/skills/ resources/funding to carry out to the highest quality standards?
- Does the work have the potential to affect the highest number of beneficiaries/hard to reach groups / those in greatest need?
- Can the work be planned to involve and include service users as well as experts?
- Does it "add value" to work that is already being undertaken?
- Does it help raise awareness of neurological conditions?
- Can the work be effectively monitored / outcomes measured?
- Does it help raise the profile of the Brain and Spine Foundation?
