Sue Tilley, Finance Manager
Since leaving school, all of Sue’s working life has been in Accounting. In 1984 Sue left industry to work freelance with small businesses but soon realised that she enjoyed her voluntary work with the local MS Society more. This led to an appointment as head of Finance & Administration at the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Sue was also elected Assistant National Treasurer & Trustee for the MS Society.Since first starting work within the Charity Sector, Sue went on to study for an MSc in Charity Law & Finance and has undertaken work for many charities including Epilepsy Research Foundation, Children Nationwide, Children with Leukaemia and the National Asthma Campaign, in addition to business clients in her home town.
Sue chairs the Persons with MS International Committee and is a board member of MSIF, Treasurer for the Neurological Alliance and a member of the Finance & Audit Committee for Asthma UK. She is currently setting up a Charitable Trust in the village where she lives.
Her international work has seen Sue address several major conferences as a speaker, and during her time as Trustee for the MS Society she was instrumental in initiating a conference aimed at the 18 – 30 age group.
