Carl Hardwidge MB FRCS

Carl Hardwidge is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre in Haywards Heath. He is married with two children, Andrew and Kathryn who he says “continue to challenge me as I continue to embarrass them.”

His specialist interest is in skull base surgery, particularly acoustic neuroma surgery, trigeminal neuralgia, chiari malformations and syringomyelia and spinal tumours. He has a longstanding interest in training and is Chairman of the Regional Training Committee in Neurosurgery.

Mr Hardwidge has recently been voted on to the Council of the Society of British Neurosurgeons and also the Executive Committee of the European Skull Base Society. He is a member of council at the Brain and Spine Foundation.

His outside interests include yacht racing, country sports, walking his dog Wellington and following Welsh rugby.
